51. Did Lincoln Own Slaves? And Other Frequently Asked Questions About Abraham Lincoln by Gerald J. Prokopowicz.
I bought this book in Las Vegas after I had finished my library books, so I started reading it then but when I got back I had more library books so I set this aside for a while. I really liked this book, it set the record straight on a lot of Lincoln criticisms without the hero-worship attitude toward him. Each question was answered with a straightforward examination of the existing evidence. I enjoyed the humor of the author too. The book also echoed a lot of the points made by the author of Lies My Teacher Told Me. It lists further reading at the end of each chapter, and one of the books listed is Team of Rivals which I've checked out from the library before but never had time to read. It is very long. I would like to read that one though when I have more time.

50. Screen Plays: How 25 scripts made it to a theater near you - for better or worse by David S. Cohen
I really loved this book. When I read the Deep Space Nine Companion a few years ago I really was interested in reading about how each screenplay came about, and the funny thing is the author of this book actually co-wrote a screenplay for Deep Space Nine. I found a couple of movies that I want to watch and three books to read out of this. I am pretty behind on my goal though, since I just got to fifty books and it's almost September, but at least I hit the halfway mark. Maybe I can still get three-fourths of the way before the end of the year.

49. Lost Boys by Orson Scott Card
This was a really good book and would make a great movie. It is one of those books that kind of consume all your time and energy though, and even after I finished it I had a hard time concentrating on reality because all I could think about was the book for several hours.
