I bought this book in Las Vegas after I had finished my library books, so I started reading it then but when I got back I had more library books so I set this aside for a while. I really liked this book, it set the record straight on a lot of Lincoln criticisms without the hero-worship attitude toward him. Each question was answered with a straightforward examination of the existing evidence. I enjoyed the humor of the author too. The book also echoed a lot of the points made by the author of Lies My Teacher Told Me. It lists further reading at the end of each chapter, and one of the books listed is Team of Rivals which I've checked out from the library before but never had time to read. It is very long. I would like to read that one though when I have more time.
