2. The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure by William Goldman.
This is the first book I read on the kindle 2 I got for my birthday. I loved it- the book and reading on the kindle. The Princess Bride was my favorite movie when I was younger (ok, probably still is), and I can't believe I never knew it was a book. I was surprised to realize that the great humor in the movie all came from the writing... Everything, even down to the clergyman's "Mawidge" service, is written in the book! Even the cute scenes with the kid and his grandpa reading the book were in there. I loved it. After reading the screen plays book last year I'm really surprised that the movie kept the humor of the book as well as it did, even with William Goldman writing the screen play too. I'm going to look up some more William Goldman books to read.
